Tall Trees Rendezvous Quick Camp Stew
Fast and Easy
1 Large Yellow Onion coarsely chopped
2 lbs Red Potatos quartered (2 to 3 per person)
1 carrot per person, thinly sliced
1 bulb garlic, finely chopped.
1 lb ground beef
1 lb sausage (mild or hot)
1 bottle of your favorite beer (possibly a second one to cook if needed and
another one to drink)
Salt & Pepper to taste
6 slices of real Swiss Cheese.
Cornstarch or flour for thickening if you wish.
Remember the thinner you slice the onion, potatos, and carrots, the faster it will cook.
In a #12 Dutch Oven (15t-9B) start cooking by adding onion, one bottle of beer. Mix in, potatos, garlic, ground beef, and sausage (Do not brown the meats). If needed add second bottle of beer. When done you may wish to thicken the stew. Salt and pepper to taste. About 5 minutes before serving - add Swiss Cheese and let it melt. Serve warm. Serves 6. Adjust to serve more ......
